BSH Home Appliances moves customer service online, helps resolve 22,000 cases during the pandemic
17.8% consumer calls addressed from Chennai
Chennai, 9 June, 2021: BSH Home Appliances, Europe’s largest home appliances manufacturer and one of the world’s leading companies in the sector successfully adapted to the changing times and moved their entire customer service online during the pandemic. Since March 2020, the company has resolved 22,000 customer service cases across the country. In the past 3 months alone, Southern India has seen 72% cases being resolved virtually. The cities include Chennai (17.8%), Cochin (38.1%), Coimbatore (4%), Bangalore (27%) and Hyderabad (12%).
With strict lockdown being imposed in several cities, consumers completely shifted to online purchase of appliances, thus needing remote support for installations and repairs. To cope with the change in customer demand and behaviour, BSH immediately adapted and moved to online consultation, while ensuring the standards of service were met. The engineers relentlessly followed service guidelines while delivering prompt solutions to consumers through video and phone calls.

The BSH team has received overwhelming appreciation from customers all over the country for the effortless virtual service provided during these challenging times. To fulfil commitment towards consumers, BSH extended their warranty on all products until June 30, 2021. The extended warranty will be applicable on all those products whose warranty expired between the lockdown period from April 15 to May 31, 2021.
